유아교사가 지각한 원장의 감성리더십과 조직효과성과의 관계 = The relation between directors` emotional Leadership and the organizationaleffectiveness of early childhood education institutionsas perceived by early childhood teachers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study was to clarify how early childhood education institution directors` emotional leadership as perceived by early childhood teachers is related to the sub-factors of the organizational effectiveness of the institutions. For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire survey with early childhood teachers working at kindergartens and childcare centers in Gwangju Metropolitan City, and analyzed 348 returned questionnaires. According to the results of the analysis, individual teachers perceived their respective director`s emotional leadership to be higher than average, and among the sub-factors of emotional leadership, `social competence` was perceived to be high. The organizational effectiveness of early childhood education institutions perceived by teachers was also higher than average, and among the sub-factors, `organizational adaptability` was perceived highest and `job satisfaction` lowest. Directors` emotional leadership as perceived by the teachers had a high positive correlation with the organizational effectiveness of the institutions. This suggests that directors` emotional leadership may have a positive effect on organizational effectiveness through inspiring the teachers` emotions. The results of this study imply that the directors of early childhood education institutions need to have leadership and perception based on understanding and empathy. Furthermore, early childhood education institutions should provide basic materials for developing programs that enhance directors` emotional leadership.
