Thousands of publications are created for and by organizations these publications are aimed at a variety of audiences ; employes, members, communities, customers, share-holders and countless others and come in dozens of shapes and sizes-newsletters, brochures, magazines, booklets, annual report, posters, flyers and direct mails. Most designers don't realize that the vast number of publications they see are based on a few basic design. all adhere to basic design principles and elements they are consist of one of those principles is to understanding the function of readability and legibility. To make a long story short, readability refers to the readout of the type or how seeable the letters are. scholars of type have different theories about readability and legibility and why it is that some faces read better than others. Most feel that since our eyes are cratures of habit, we are more comfortable with familiar types and so read them more quickly and efficiently. I have organized this thesis so that you can learn some of applicable approches to design basic publication with good readability and legibility. Throughout this thesis, I'll help you find out the design problems which publications have. Attempting to create publications without knowing the basic uunderstanding of readaility and legibility is like falling into the water without knowing how to swim. here is how this thesis is organized.
