This paper comparatively analyzes the socio-cultural characteristics of the digital generation in South Korea with those of the Korean Church. By doing so, it discloses that the direct influence of the socio-cultural characteristics of the global digital generation and the indirect cultural influence of Musok which has impacted on forming the socio-cultural characteristics of the digital generation in South Korea while the Sung Confucian socio-cultural characteristics have impacted on forming those of the Korea Church. This paper alarms that there is a great socio-cultural gulf between the digital generation and the Korean Church and that the socio-cultural rupture, not the hostility to the Christian faith, is the primary reason of the massive leaving of the digital generation. This paper also reminds that the church should be missional in nature. The church that is missional in nature should not stick to a socio-cultural structure but be ready to cross any socio-cultural border to witness the good news of Jesus. This paper therefore suggests the Korean Church to go over the socio-cultural gulf in order for the gospel to be the good news among the digital generation.
