‘김현감호’와 ‘신도징’설화 비교를 통한 對中戰略 = Strategy Toward China through comparison of ‘Kimhyungamho’ and ‘Shindojing’ Tales

This paper was written to reveal that ‘Kimhyungamho’ was written within the context of the Strategy Toward China to promote and encourage national and cultural superiority. Such intention is revealed in the clue that he contrasts the ‘Kimhyungamho’ and ‘Shindojing’ tales and attempts to respond to ‘bulyeosuja(不如獸者)’ through them. This is confirmed by several facts, One of which is that in no section of 󰡔Samgukyusa󰡕 is there an example of two articles of similar nature being presented and their differences clearly noted. Two, through comments, he specifically and accurately presented the reason for recording ‘Kimhyungamho’ and ‘Shindojing’ Tales together and their differences. Three, 󰡔Samgukyusa󰡕 describes ‘bulyeosuja’ that cannot be found in any of the comments. Four, as clear evidence of this, in ‘Kimhyungamho’, gratitude was used as a mechanism, and in ‘Shindojing’ Tales, ingratitude was used as a mechanism to show that even animals are different. Fifth, in order to materialize this, it is clear that it is the land of Budha by recording the relationship between the ordinary person Kimhyun and the analien substance tiger in ｢Gamtong｣ and revealing that it is a relationship by the Great Sage.
