      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It requires prudence and is meaningful for descendants to come, both in the past and now, to find a land where a family wants to live with good fortune for generations by taking the area as its base for a long period of time. Looking into the figures of a family that resided in a place for generations and its connections in the area, we can assume that this may have influenced not just the history of the family but the academic network and cultural history in the region, too, to a certain extent.
Dangjin of Chungcheongnam-do is a place where quite a few renowned writers of the Joseon Dynasty were produced in terms of our literary history. This study is aimed to examine the reason why Deoksu Lee Family lived in Myeoncheon of Dangjin as its base for generations and settled down in it as a residence for 20 generations lasting for 500 or so years and what meanings it has.
The one that set it as the base for Deoksu Lee’s clan was Yeonheongong Lee Ui-mu, one of the literary persons in the reign of King Seongjong, and after Lee Haeng in the reign of King Jungjong set Deoksu Lee Family’s graveyard there, many writers composed Chinese poems passing by the place. In particular, Deoksu Lee Family’s descendants respected the literary achievements and value left by the two ancestors and were in awe of the transmission. This researcher here investigates the family’s empathy and thoughts about literary transmission associated with the space of Myeoncheon considering Dongak Lee An-nul, Taekdang Lee Sik, and Mokgok Lee Gi-jin in the reign of King Yeongjo.
This will allow contemporary families becoming hyper-individualized to glance at how the family continues its reputation through literary works of the old times while longing for its ancestors and having affection of honor with intention and concerns to adhere to its excellent tradition.
