The purpose of this study is to examine various factors affecting the work-life balance of female workers, especially focusing on Jeju Island. Work-life balance is a social change and it is recognized as an important value of life in modern society. In general, although women perceive work-life balance more important than men, women's work and life are found to be imbalanced. In other words, an imbalance occurs due to excessive role expectations at home along with work performance. This study analyzed cases centering on the Jeju area, and as a result of analyzing the determinant on the work-life balance of female wage workers. It was confirmed that there was a difference by marriage status and employment type of women. More specifically, personal factors such as the presence and age of children, health, and socioeconomic status, as well as the size of the organization and overtime work were found to be important. Through the results, this study is expected to present implications for improving the work-life balance of female workers.
