證券市場에서의 Mental Accounting = Mental Accounting in the Stock Market

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 Richard Thaler가 Marketing분야에서 사용한 Mental Accounting의 개념을 이용하여 재무관리 및 투자론 분야에서 분석의 대상으로 하고 있는 중권시장의 여러 가지 현상들을 설명하고자 하였다. Mental Accounting의 개념을 이용하였을 경우 투자자들의 수익률에 대한 만족도에 대한 원인, 배당이 가지는 효용가치, 자산주 및 저 PER주의 선호도, 유상증자때의 시가할 인제도, 상하한가, 매매를 결정하는 과정들이 보다 합리적으로 설명이 된다. 이러한 측면에서 Mental Accounting은 재무관리에서 아직 해결하지 못한 여러 가지 현상들을 설명하는데 유용한 도구임을 발견하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper tries to explain various phenomenons of stock market by using Mental Accounting which was first introduced by Richard Thaler as an useful tool for the Marketing. It has shown that Mental Accounting can explain the degree of satisfaction over investment returns, the utility of dividends, the preference of asset stocks and low PER stocks, the reason for the price discount in the capital increase, price limits, and the process of investment decision more effectively. As a result, Mental Accounting turned out to be a useful device in explaining unsolved problems in financial Management.
