신동엽 시에 나타난 ‘탈주’의 의미 = The Meaning of Escape Represented in SinDongYeob’s Poems

국문 초록 (Abstract)

신동엽은 그의 시에서 국가와 파시즘, 자본주의, 제국주의 등의 이데올로기적 억압 제도에 대해서 강한 적개심을 표현한다. 그는 한국인이 조선왕조 양반의 착취, 일제 파시스트적 식민체제의 억압, 미국 제국주의 그리고 이승만과 박정희의 독재에 의해서 고통을 겪어왔다고 본다. 또한 그는 외국 자본이 한국인들의 삶에 침투함으로써 국가적 정체성과 자립이 파괴될 수밖에 없었다고 인식하며 차수성 세계에서 판치는 매판자본 세력을 한반도에서 축출되어야 할 껍데기로 간주한다. 즉, 차수성의 세계에 속한 문명의 부정적인 요소들이 시민들로 하여금 원수성의 세계에서 누리던 전경인적 삶을 살아가지 못하게 한다는 것이다. 신동엽은 정치적 억압으로부터의 탈주와 인체와 세계의 절편화에 대한 저항의 재현으로 인해 무정부주의자로 분류된다. 무정부주의자 소로우에 의하면 국가와 정치 조직체는 원시사회에서 허용되었던 자유와 자립을 억압할 뿐이다. 시민들은 혁명적인 저항에 의해서 이러한 억압과 절편화에서 탈주하는 것이 바람직하다. 이 관점은 ‘리좀’, ‘탈영토화’ 그리고 ‘기관 없는 신체’와 같은 들뢰즈와 가타리의 이론에 적용할 수 있다. 신동엽의 ｢금강｣에서 전봉준과 신하늬 같은 혁명적 인물들은 영원성의 성취를 위해서 어떠한 후회나 심리적 흔들림 없이 육체적 존재에서 죽음으로 과감하게 탈주하고자 한다. 시인의 관점에 의하면 부패한 세계를 전복하는 혁명은 단번에 이루어질 수 없으며, 각 시대에 전봉준과 하늬 같은 인물들의 끊임없는 혁명을 통해서 지속적으로 진행되어야 한다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Sin DongYeob, in his poems, expressed strong enmity toward the repressive systems such as nations and ideologies like Fascism, capitalism and imperialism. He thinks that Koreans have suffered from Yangban’s exploitation during Chosun dynasty, the Japanese Fascist colonization, and the US imperialism as well as Korean dictatorship of Lee SeungMan and Park JeongHee. Also, the foreign capital has invaded into Koreans’ lives, by which national identity and self-reliance were forced to be destroyed. Sin DongYeob regarded the forces of comprador capital as sloughs, which must be expelled from Korean peninsular. These negative elements of civilization have hindered us from living ‘JeonGyongIn’ in the utopia(the world of WonSuSeong). Sin DongYeob can be classified as an anarchist since he tried to escape from the repression and to revolt against the fragmentation of human body and the world. According to another anarchist poet Thoreau, nation and political organization in general have repressed freedom and self-reliance which were permitted in the primitive society. Rather, we should liberate ourselves from these repression and fragmentation by means of revolutionary escape. This point of view can be applied to the theory of Deleuze and Guattari about ‘Rhizome’, ‘de-territorialization’ and ‘body without organs’. The revolutionary characters like Jeon BongJun, Sin HaNyeu dare to escape from physical body in the form of death to achieve infinity, without any regret or trauma. The poet thinks that the revolution for overthrowing corrupted world cannot be done with one stroke. Rather, we should proceed by the continuous process through a series of revolutions of JeonBongJun and HaNyeu in each era.
