교회의 다양한 음악수용에 관한 고찰 : 한국 교회음악의 분류를 중심으로 = (A) study of accepting civerse christian music : focused on classification of Korean christian music

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Christian Music is a big part of Korean popular music growth. Moreover, with the advent of CCM(Contemporary Christian Music) in church, christian music and popular music have much in common, not a separate one.
Before 1892, when the unique Korean christian music was produced, chan mi gae was used which made of American hymns. The compilation standard was different at the moment until 『 Unites Hymns』in 1983 and 『21C New Hymns』in 2006 had been made. But they insist that they have to compile Hymns should include musical feature of Korea. The 『21C New Hymns』compiled in 2006 has 128 pieces composed by Koreans of all 625 pieces, which means that they have continuously tried for Christian music to be naturalized.
Moreover, the various music genre have been used such as Pop, Rock, Black Gospel, with the advent of the concept CCM. Recently, Musics featuring Korean and considering popularity started to appear by Nam Gung Ryun, Shin Nal Sae, Ko Joo Hee, Mum Chae Suk, etc. I think that Korean Music that matches our emotion will lead the CCM in the future.

The musical terms used so far have been variously used in Gospel Song, Gospel hymns, Hymns, CCM. However those terms were being used without rules and unity, so I arranged various musical concepts and classified the Korean christian music.
First classification is【Hymns】,【Gospel Song】of the Korean Christian Music as an object of music, for example,【Hymns】's object is God and 【Gospel Song】's object is the human. I classified the music according to the time. Because the music has been reflected by the times, so second classification is done by time. 【Hymns】is divided into 'Traditional Hymns' and 'Modern Hymns'. 'Traditional Hymns' is the music which has the same form of 『Hymns』made by the Councils of Korean Hymns. The music introduced after 1963 when the Gospel Song appeared can be referred to Modern Hymns.
【Gospel Song】is divided into 'Traditional Gospel' and 'Modern Gospel'. Its standard is Choi Duck shin's Album <The Name> in 1985 and before the album is called 'Traditional Gospel' and after that 'Modern Gospel'. 'CCM' can be classified as 'Modern Gospel' section, and it can be classified to 'Modern Hymns', particularly when the object of 'CCM''s text is God.
