The purpose of this paper is to ‘re-read’ Korean novels in the 1990s from the perspective of the 2000s. Focusing on the works of female writers who appeared in the 1990s, the ‘love’ pursued by female characters was analyzed. The reason why calling most love ‘infidelity’ is that the love threatens the existing patriarchal family order. This thesis is significant in that it studies individual identity through the narrative of ‘infidelity’ in feminine novels and reinterprets the literature in the 1990s.
