불법도박 예방과 도박중독 회복을 위한 정책 마련에 대한 질적 연구: 남성 도박중독 회복자를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

합법 도박의 매출 총량의 증가에 따른 불법도박에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고, 도박 중독자의 회복과 불법도박의 확산을 예방하기 위해 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 특히 선행연구에서는 불법도박의 예방하기 위해 정량화된 통계를 기반으로 제언을 하였고, 불법도박의 예방을 합법 도박의 매출 총량 증대를 통해 예방하고자 하였다. 그렇지만 본 연구에서는 합법 도박과 불법 도박에 참여한 경험이 있는 도박 중독자 중 현재는 단도박을 유지하고 있는 회복자들의 경험에서 도박 중독자의 회복을 도움으로써 불법 도박의 확산을 예방하는 정책적 대안을 발굴하고자 하였다. 연구에는 남성 도박 중독자 중 회복자 5명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 수집은 비구조화된 질문지를 통해 1대1 심층 면담으로 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 Braun과 Clark가 제시한 주제분석 6단계 방법으로 접근하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 연구참여자들의 자료를 분석한 결과 25개의 하위 주제가 도출되었고, 이를 공통성 차원에서 결집하여 5개의 상위주제를 구성하였다. 상위주제는 도박생태계 해체, 도박장 진입로 봉쇄, 가족의 보호를 통한 회복기반 구축, 전향적 도박자 회복 서비스, 국가의 도덕적 권위회복으로 나타났다. 연구자들은 연구 결과에 근거하여 논의하였고, 불법 도박 예방과 도박 중독자들의 회복을 위한 정책적 제언을 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many studies are being conducted to explore the effects of the increase in the total sales of legal gambling on illegal gambling, and to prevent the recovery of gambling addicts and the spread of illegal gambling. In particular, previous studies made recommendations based on quantified statistics to prevent illegal gambling, and tried to prevent illegal gambling by increasing the total sales of legal gambling. However, in this study, we tried to discover policy alternatives to prevent the spread of illegal gambling by helping the gambling addicts recover from the experiences of those who are currently addicted to gambling among those who have participated in legal and illegal gambling. . In this study, five recoveries among male gambling addicts were targeted, and data were collected through one-on-one in-depth interviews through unstructured questionnaires. The collected data was approached using the six-step method of thematic analysis suggested by Braun and Clark. The study results are as follows. As a result of analyzing the data of the study participants, 25 sub-themes were derived, and 5 super-themes were composed by consolidating them in the dimension of commonality. Top themes were the dismantling of the gambling ecosystem, blockade of access roads to gambling establishments, establishment of a recovery foundation through family protection, prospective gambler recovery services, and restoration of national moral authority. The researchers discussed the results of the study and made policy recommendations for the prevention of illegal gambling and the recovery of gambling addicts.
