初等敎師의 INTERNET 活用敎育 實態 및 改善方案

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 교사의 인터넷 활용 교육 실태를 조사하여 문제점과 개선 방향을 제시함으로써 바람직한 인터넷 활용 교육 활동을 모색하고자 하였다. 교육 정보화 사업의 추진 결과로 모든 초. 중등학교에 컴퓨터가 보급되었고, 학교전산망이 개통되어 시행 중에 있다. 이제 우리나라 초등학교 교실에서도 인터넷 활요이 가능해짐에 따라 인터넷의 활용 실태를 조사하여 보다 나은 방향을 제시할 필요성을 갖게 되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구의 목적은 인터넷 활용 교육의 개선 방안을 모색하려 함에 잇다.
연구 목적을 당성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다.
첫째, 초등학교에서 인터넷을 활용하기 위한 제반 물리적 여건은 인터넷활용 교육에 적절한가?
둘째, 초등교사의 평상시에 인터넷을 활용하는 영역과 수준, 연수에 대한 생각은 어떠한가?
셋째, 인터넷을 교수.학습에 얼마나 활용하고 있는가?
넷째, 인터넷의 교육적 활용상 나타나는 문제점과 개선 방안에 대한 생각은 어떠한가?
이론적인 배경으로서 인터넷의 교육적 잠재력, 교육에서의 인터넷과 활용, 웹기반 교육과 구성주의 초등교육에서의 인터넷 활용에 대한 이론을 살표보았다.
목포와 그 인근 지역인 무안, 영암에 위치한 15개 학교의 ？으교사들을 상대로하여 249부의 설문지를 배부하여 235부를 회수하여 응답에 대한 기재가 불분명한 5부를 제외하고 230부를 분석하였다.
인터넷 활용 교육을 위한 교실 컴퓨터의 성능, 평상시 초등교사의 언터넷 활용 양태와 수준 교수. 학습활동에서 인터넷의 활용, 인터넷의 교육적 활용상 나타나는 문제점과 개선점에 대한 의견 등을 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 인터넷을 활용하기 위한 여건은 비교적 잘 갖춰져 있으나 컴퓨터 관련 시설을 차츰 업그레이드 시켜야겠고 특히 군지역의 영상매체를 대형화면으로 교체해야한다.
둘째, 초등교사는 인터넷을 활용을 위한 연수에 적극적인 태도를 가지고 있었으며 그 욕구를 충족시켜주기 위해 쌍방향 작용적 원격연수를 강화하고, 잡무를 줄이거나 표준수업시수를 마련하여 인터넷을 활용한 수업 준비 시간을 확보해 주어야 한ㄷ.
셋째, 컴푸터실에서는 다양한 형태의 수업 방법이 적용되고 있었고 인터 넷에서 얻은 정보는 수업에서 적극적으로 활용되고 있었다. 또 인터넷 활용 수업의 효육 및 효과는 비디오 자료, 사진, 삽화, OHP나 실물화상기를이용한 학습보다는 더 높고 학생들의 반응도 긍적적인 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 수업에 활용할 인터넷 자료의 활용가치나 그 전망에 대해서는 대다수의 교사가 높거나 밝게 바라보고 있었지만 인터넷의 교육적 활용시 역점을 둬야할 것은 장비와 회선 속도 향상에 노력해야하고 관련장비 고장시 신속한 수리가 이뤄져야한다. 또 인터넷을 활용한 수업의 질 개선을 위해 인터넷 자룔를 개발하여 지속적인 보급을 해야 한다는 결론에 도달하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this stydy is to investigate the realities of primary school teachers' practical usage of internet and to indicate its appropriate way to improve the actual usage of it in the clasroom. As a result of promoting the Educational Information project, every school(including primary and secondary education) was provided with computer systems and is operating them through the schools' into its practical usage and to propose better directions of it. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find a way to improve the internet usage education. To achieve the purpose of this study I have set the below issues.
First are the primary schools' physical circumstances suitable for using the internet in the classroon?
Second, what are the primary school teachers' usual/ordinary fields and levels of using internet? Also, what are their thoughts about training progrms?
Third, how much do they apply internet in the actual teaching and learning?
Last, what are their thoughts about the problems of the usage of internet and plans for its improvement?
Theoretically I went over the educational potentiality of internet. educational internet usage, web-based education, constiutionalism and internet usat\ge in primary education. I've done a research through a poll based on the related questionnaires handed oty to the teachers located at Mokpo. Muan and Youngam(249 questionnaires handed out to the teachers at 15different. primary schools located at the listed cities, collected 235 and analyzed 230 of them). The conclusions related to the issues such as: the apacity of the classroom computers, the usual modes and levels of primary teachers' actual usage of the internet, internet usage in the actual teacing and learning, and the problems and thoughts about the educational usage of the internet are listed below.
First, the given conditions(environments) of using internet are well set but the computer related facilities must be upgraded gradually. especially in the military area, where visual screens are needed to be changed to bigger ones.
Second, primary school teachers seemed to gave positive attitudes toward training programs related to the usage of internet. In order to satisgy their desires, ther must be reinforcement in the interactive distant trainings. Also as the teachers need more time to prepare for the practical usage of internet, enough time should be provided through less routine work, and decrease in the time of regular teaching periode.
Third, carious ways of teaching methods were applied in computer labs and the information acquired from the internet were actively used in the classrooms. Also, The efficiency and the effecth of using internet in the classrooms proved to bebetter than that of using video, picture materials. OHPs or visual presenters, and the students reaction were more positive as well.
Fourth, the calues and the prospects of using internet in the classrooms were thought to be bright and promising However, the most important point in the educational usage of internet is the fast speed of LAN and equipments as well as the rapid repairs when computer related systems go out of order.
Therefore, I've come to a conclusion that, to improve the quality of internet-based education, we must develop and provide internet materials contimuously.
