      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      Many prior studies have analyzed trends in the registration or application of specific technical patents to predict technology life cycle. The problem is that verifying all patents in a particular field is a very difficult task. Because the research must includes a wrong selected patents filtering process which is required amount of time and effort. However the patents in the standardization pool are those that have been proven to be 100% applicable to a particular technology. So its very effective methodology to analyze a standard patent pool for analyzing a particular technology. Video compression patents are used for a multimedia market which like a broadcasting, streaming and home video title and which also affect the resolution of display, bandwidth of memory and the speed of data communications technology. Therefore we could predict the life cycle of the screen pixel size technology if analyze the registration trend of the video compression standard patent pool. This analysis is also expected to be available as a basis for predicting next-generation TV product technologies.
