한국의 금융시장 불안정성과 소득불평등 : 주식시장과 외환시장을 중심으로 = The Relationship between Financial Market Instability and Income Inequality - Focus on Stock Market and Foreign Exchange Market-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the effects of financial market volatility on income inequality in Korea. In this process, we used quarterly data from 2000 to 2015, and we divided financial markets into stock market and foreign exchange rate market. Indeed, we also classified income inequality into ordinary income (earned income, business income, property income, transfer income) and non-ordinary income. As a results, stock market volatility increases the income inequality over the long term through changes in the prices of the assets held by the households, while the foreign exchange market has no significant effect on the income inequality. In order to improve income inequality, the government should establish the income redistribution policy and the policy to improve the inequality of asset ownership.
