The purpose of this study is to analyze the job stress in the situation caused by COVID 19 and to investigate the effect of job stress on burnout and turnover intention of hotel employee. This study was conducted from February 1 to February 11, 2021, targeting hotel employees who work at 5-star luxury hotels in Seoul. The survey was presented online due to the COVID 19 situation and a total of 330 questionnaires were collected, and 302 responses were finally used for data analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 programs and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were performed to verify descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, validity and reliability. As a result, it was found that overwork, physical discomfort and behavioral bias among the factors affecting burnout in the Covid 19 situation had significant effects but the effect of work pressure on burnout was rejected in insignificant results. On the other hand, burnout derived significant results on turnover intention. The summary of the research is that, in the serious situation of the hotel industry due to the current Covid 19, hotel employees work despite strong work pressure due to job instability such as layoff. Through this study, it can be seen that hotel management needs to develop a trust program to restore trust with hotel employees who are currently in the Corona Blue state for procuring talented employees and for continuous hotel management.
