초연결사회에서 지역전통문화유산의 지속가능성: 옹기전승공동체의 생산적인 관계구축 = Sustainability of Local Heritage in a Hyper-connected Society: Building Productive Partnerships for the Onggi Transmission Community

국문 초록 (Abstract)

21세기 정보통신분야의 비약적인 발전과 함께 인공지능시대로 진입한 오늘날, 첨단 ICT기반 디지털 글로벌화를 통해 전 세계의 시공간을 촘촘히 연결하는 초연결사회가 실현되고 있다. 전 지구적인 상호연결성을 강화시키는 그 속성에 내포된 문화 균질화에 대한 국제사회의 우려가 고조되고 있는 가운데, 유네스코는 무형문화유산 등재시스템을 마련하여 세계 각지역의 문화다양성 보호를 위한 범세계적인 차원의 대응에 기여해왔다.
이 글에서는 ‘디지털 세계화와 함께 글로벌 문화의 지배력이 증가하고 있는 오늘날의 사회환경 속에서 지역의문화유산은 어떻게 그 생명력을 지속할 수 있을까?’라는 질문을 가지고, 먼저 전통문화의 보호와 전승에 대한지난 20년간의 논의를 살펴보면서 전통문화유산의 창조적 계승을 제한하고 있는 내적·외적 요인들을 파악해보고, 이어서 시대변화에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 지역기반 전통문화유산의 자생력 강화방안과 다양한 협력적 지원체계에 대한 논의를 검토하였다. 이를 바탕으로, 특정 지역의 옹기전승공동체가 직면하고 있는 현실과 현안을 맥락적으로 분석해보고 자생기반 강화방향에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

Today in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, with the rapid development of information and communication, a hyper-connected society that closely connects time and space around the world is being created through ICT based digital globalization. Amid rising international concerns about cultural homogenization embedded in its attributes of strengthening global interconnectivity, UNESCO has established an intangible cultural heritage listing system to contribute to a world-wide response to protect cultural diversity in various parts of the world. This article, with the question of 'How can local cultural heritage sustain its vitality in today's social environment, where the dominance of global culture is increasing along with digital globalization?' 1) examines the discussions developed in related fields over the past 20 years on traditional culture facing social transformation caused by globalization, 2) identified internal and external factors that restrict the creative inheritance of traditional cultural heritage, 3) reviewed the discussion on ways to strengthen the self-sustainability of regional-based traditional cultural heritage and various forms of cooperation system that can effectively respond to changes in the times. Based on the review, it proposed a direction of establishing an extended cooperative partnership that could overcome the current issues facing the Onggi transmission community in a specific region.
