카내비게이션 대중화에 따른 대쉬보드 디자인 트랜드 연구 = A Study on Dashboard Design Trend by Popularization of Car Navigation

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Car navigation system has become one of the essential elements of the car, as many various models and functions of car navigation systems have developed, since the creation of World's first car navigation system, Honda's Electro gyrocator in 1981. Especially for the domestic market, car navigation systems were popularized as SSANGYONG Information & Communications corp has developed the system in 1993. Also, the emergence of the additional services such as TPEG(Transport Protocol Expert Group) and the Terrestial DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting), have changed the mind of the consumers, and have helped the navigation system become a necessary tool for many car drivers. The navigation system could be settled in two different types: the stand alone and the buried. The research sets its purpose on doing an analysis on the influences on the car interior design as a result of settling the buried-typed navigation system in the car. The study also considers the formative arts that could be applied in the dashboard design. The paper also considers the development of the competitive dash board design and tries to give satisfaction to the customers by suggesting current car interior design trends mainly based on the car navigation system, and additional functions that are tech-edged as well as in harmony with the other various multimedia equipments.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1981년 세계 최초의 자동차 내비게이션인 혼다기연공업이 개발한 “혼다 일렉트로 쟈이로케이터”가 출시된 이후 전 세계적으로 다양한 기능의 제품들이 출시되며 자동차에 있어 없어서는 안 될 필수품이 되었다. 특히 국내의 경우 일본보다 늦은 1993년 쌍용정보통신이 내비게이션을 선보인 이후 최근에는 비약적인 디지털 기술에 힘입어 출시 초기에는 높은 가격대였던 제품의 가격이 낮아지며 대중화가 이뤄지는 발판을 마련하였고, TPEG(Transport Protocol Expert Group-교통정보), 지상파DMB와 같은 부가 서비스의 등장과 소비자들의 인식 변화로 인해 필수 자동차용품이 되었다. 내비게이션은 장착방식에 따라 매립형 내비게이션과 거치형 내비게이션으로 크게 분류된다. 본 연구는 자동차 출고 시 매립장착에 따른 자동차 실내 인테리어 디자인에 미치는 영향 및 사용성에 대한 비교분석과 대쉬보드 디자인에 있어 고려되어야 할 조형미에 대해 고찰한다. 최근 출시되고 있는 자동차의 내비게이션을 중점으로 하는 자동차 인테리어 디자인의 트렌드 분석, 내비게이션과 함께 구성되는 새로운 기능의 다양한 멀티미디어기기와 적절한 조화를 이루는 디자인의 방향제시를 통해 소비자의 니즈를 충족시키는 자동차 대쉬보드 디자인 개발의 경쟁력을 제고하고자 한다.
