We have investigated the carbon SWNT (single-walled nanotube) as a
possible hydrogen storage medium by using molecular dynamics
simulations. Through this investigation, we have found that
approximately 42 \% of the impinging hydrogen atoms of 3 - 5 eV can
penetrate through the CNT (carbon nanotube) wall and have confirmed
that the CNT can be used as a hydrogen storage medium. Close
investigations of the potential changes near the inside and the
outside CNT walls have improved our understanding of the behavior of
the incident hydrogen atoms.
