대북제재의 북한 장마당에 대한 영향 분석 = Analyzing the Impact of Economic Sanctions on North Korean Markets

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 북한 경제제재가 북한 암시장 환율과 물가 동향에 미치는 영향, 북한이 제재에 적응하는 방식, 제재로 피해를 입은 후 대외전략이 어떻게 전개되는지를 살펴본다. 본 연구는 OLS 회귀모형과 2SLS 모형을 이용하여 이러한 연구 질문에 대한 답을 제공하고, 북한의 제재가 암시장 환율동향과 외교행태에 미치는 영향을 조사한다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 북한의 경제제재가 북한의 암시장 환율과 물가 상승에 영향을 미쳤음을 보여 준다. 둘째, 제재로 어려움을 겪은 북한은 국제사회에 협조를 구하지 않고 갈등을 빚었다. 셋째, 제재로 인해 피해를 입은 북한의 군사적 도발이 증가하지 않았다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the impact of economic sanctions on exchange rates and price trends of North Korea’s jangmadang (markets), how North Korea adapts to sanctions, and how its foreign strategy develops after suffering from the impact of sanctions. We develop hypotheses and answer the research questions by using both OLS regression and 2SLS models, examining the impact of sanctions on the black market exchange rates and North Korea’s diplomatic behavior. Our empirical analysis reveals several findings. First, economic sanctions have led to an increase in exchange rates and prices in North Korea. Second, suffering economic deterioration from sanctions, North Korea did not seek cooperation with the international community but rather created conflict. Third, North Korea’s military provocations did not increase despite the damage caused by sanctions
