      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Among the digital injuries caused by mechanical damage and physical forces, when skin and soft tissue defects are accompanied, the functional and cosmetic aspects of digits must be satisfied by offering of solid soft tissue, maintaining normal length of digits and restoration of sensitivity of damaged digits and durability for the satisfactory reconstruction of digits damage. Local flap, regional flap, distant flap and free flap have been used as the ways of reconstruction as usual. So then we reconstructed the damaged digits by using Reverse Dorsal Digital Flap in which we could avoid the damage of main volar digital artery, and we could get a get a fast recovery and a satisfactory result in the functional and cosmetic aspects of reconstruction to recover the loss of soft tissue of dorsal, midlateral and tip portion of the digits on the base of anatomical characteristics of the digits, the abundant arterial network among the dorsal branches of volar digital artery. The Reverse Dorsal Digital Island flap has several merits 1)it can avoid distant flap that causes discomforts to patients for a long time, 2)it doesn't need immobilization of damaged digits because of homodigital flap, 3)it is just one-step procedure, 4)it can preserve the volar digital artery and get quick recovery as possible.
We reconstructed the damaged digits by using Reverse dorsal digital island flap to the seven patients who had digits soft tissue defects from March, 1995 and got satisfactory results.
