대학생의 성인애착과 유튜브 과의존의 관계:사회불안 및 준사회적 관계의 순차적 매개효과 = The Relationship between Adult Attachment and YouTube Addiction in University Students; Sequential mediating effects of social anxiety and para-social relationships

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 성인애착과 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 사회불안과 준사회적 관계의 순차적 매개효과를 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 최근 유튜브를 사용하고 있는 대학생 200명을 대상으로 하여 성인애착 척도, 유튜브 과의존 척도, 사회불안 척도, 준사회적 관계 척도를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 28과 PROCESS macro MODEL 6을 사용하여 분석하였다.
연구결과는 아래와 같다.
첫째, 애착불안과 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 사회불안은 매개변인으로서 기능하였다. 둘째, 준사회적 관계는 애착불안과 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 매개변인으로서 기능하지 못하였다. 셋째, 사회불안과 준사회적 관계의 순차적 매개를 통해 유튜브 과의존에 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 애착회피와 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 사회불안은 매개변인으로서 기능하였다. 다섯째, 준사회적 관계는 애착회피와 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 매개변인으로서 기능하였다. 여섯째, 애착회피는 사회불안과 준사회적 관계의 순차적 매개를 통해 유튜브 과의존에 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 일곱째, 애착불안과 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서 사회불안의 매개효과와 사회불안, 준사회적 관계의 순차적 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의하였지만, 준사회적 관계의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 여덟째, 준사회적 관계는 애착회피와 유튜브 과의존의 관계에서는 매개변인으로서 기능하였고, 애착회피와 준사회적 관계 사이에서 음(-)의 회귀계수가 관찰되었다.
불안정한 성인애착을 보이는 대학생은 사회불안과 준사회적 관계가 유튜브 과의존에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 대학생이 학업과 일상생활에 집중할 수 있도록 애착불안과 애착회피에 사회불안과 준사회적 관계가 매개변인의 역할을 하여 유튜브 과의존을 증상에 도움을 줄 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 대학생의 유튜브 과의존을 예방하는데, 사회불안과 준사회적 관계를 중점으로 다루는 성인애착 관련 프로그램 도입의 근거를 제공한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the sequential mediating effects of social anxiety and para-social relationships in the relationship between university students' adult attachment and YouTube addiction. To verify this, an adult attachment scale, the YouTube addiction scale, the social anxiety scale, and the para-social relationship scale were conducted on 200 university students who recently used YouTube. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 28 and PROCESS macro MODEL 6.
The results of the study are as follows. First, social anxiety functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between attachment anxiety and YouTube addiction. Second, the para-social relationship did not function as a mediating variable in the relationship between attachment anxiety and YouTube addiction. Third, attachment anxiety indirectly affected YouTube addiction through the sequential mediation of social anxiety and para-social relationships. Fourth, social anxiety functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between attachment avoidance and YouTube addiction. Fifth, the para-social relationship functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between attachment avoidance and YouTube addiction. Sixth, attachment avoidance indirectly affected YouTube addiction through the sequential mediation of social anxiety and para-social relationships. Seventh, the mediating effect of social anxiety, social anxiety, and the sequential mediating effect of para-social relationships in the relationship between attachment anxiety and over-dependence on YouTube was statistically significant, but the mediating effect of para-social relationships was not. Eighth, the para-social relationship functioned as a mediating variable in the relationship between attachment avoidance and YouTube addiction, and a negative (-) regression coefficient was observed between attachment avoidance and para-social relationship.
The results suggest that insecure adult attachment may lead to social anxiety and para-social relationship, which in turn may lead to YouTube addiction. The findings has both theoretical and practical implications. Theoretically, the present study shows the mechanism between insecure adult attachment and YouTube addiction. Practically, the results of this study provide information for prevention and intervention of YouTube addiction.
