지방문학, 국민문학, 세계문학 - 식민지 후반기 조선문학의 존재 형식 = Local Literature, National Literature, World Literature -The From of Existence of Joseon Literature in the latter half of the Japanese Colonial Period

국문 초록 (Abstract)

식민지 후반 전시 총동원 체제기 전세계적인 파시즘 체제의 강화, 자본주의 체제의 몰락 징후 속에서 세계사적으로나 동양사적으로 팽배해진 근대성 자체에 대한 불신으로 인해 ‘조선문학=근대문학(서양문학)’이라는 등식에는 균열이 발생하였고, 조선문학은 ‘현대=동양’이라는 새로운 세계사적 질서에 조응해 그 위상을 재구축해야 했다. 당시 식민지 조선의 문학자들은 제국의 문화적 권역 내에서 조선문학의 위상을 새롭게 정립하기 위해 다양한 논의들을 전개해나갔다. 제국 일본문학의 한 ‘지방문학’으로서 조선문학을 위치 지으려고 하거나, 조선문학이 특수한 위치에서 ‘국민문학’을 변혁시킬 수 있다는 논의, 그리고 제국문학의 지방문학으로 한정하지 않고 세계문학의 지방문학으로서 조선문학을 위치 짓는 등 조선문학의 위상 재정립과 관련된 논의에는 단순히 ‘중앙-제국-일본’과 ‘지방-식민지-조선’으로 수렴되지 않는 이질적이고 다양한 균열의 지점들이 존재하고 있었다. 이러한 논의는 모두 동아시아 지역 질서 재편 과정 속에서 식민지 조선문학의 위상을 새롭게 재정립하기 위한 사상적 모색이면서 동시에 제국-식민지 체제 내 문화적 헤게모니를 획득하기 위한 분투의 과정이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There was a crack occurred on the formula that Joseon Literature equals to Modern Literature(Western Literature) and Joseon Literature had to re-build its status in the order of new world history represented with the ‘modern=oriental’ idea in the symptom of strengthening global fascism system and falling of capitalism system during the term of all-out mobilization for wartime in the late the Japanese colonial period, due to the distrust of modernity itself which has been on a rise in terms of both world and oriental history. At that time, the litterateur of colonial Joseon developed various discussions for newly establishing Joseon Literature within the cultural boundary of the Empire of Japan. There were different and various points of crack which is not simply applied as ‘center-empire-Japan’ and ‘local-colony-Joseon’ existed, e.g. settling Joseon Literature as a local component of Japanese Literature, discussing on that Joseon Literature may change of ‘national literature’, and positioning Joseon Literature as a local component of world literature by not limiting it within a local component of Japanese Literature. The discussions were the measures for newly establishing the status of Joseon Literature in the Japanese colonial period in the course of reorganization of regional order in East Asia as well as the course of a struggle for securing cultural hegemony in the empire-colony system.
