The prupose of this study was to examine the effect of participation in leisure activity on job satisfaction among urban employees.
Data were collected from four hundred and five-four male and female employees who were working at the public and private company, by the method of systematic cluster sampling, Statistics employed in this study were analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) and multiple classification analysis(MCA).
Based on the result of the study the following conclusions were warranted:
First, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has an influence on the physical fatigue. That is, there is difference in the physical fatigue according to the type of leisure activity, and sport activities is the lowest.
Second, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has an influence on the higher office factor. That is, there is difference in the higher office factor according to the type of leisure activity, and hobby and education activities is the lowest.
Third, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has not an influence on role conflict factor.
Fifth, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has not an influence on general job satisfaction.
Sixth, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has not an influence on internal motivation of working.
Seventh, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has not an influence on the job absorption.
Nineth, the type of leisure activity among urban employees has an influence on the self-evaluating attainment. That is, there is difference in the self-evaluating attainment according to the type of leisure activity, and sport activities is the highest.
