사회과 교육과정에 나타난 디지털 시민성 : 제6차 교육과정부터 2015 개정 교육과정의 변천을 중심으로 = Digital Citizenship in the Social Studies Curriculum: from the 6th Curriculum to the 2015 Revised Curriculum

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analysis comparatively about digital citizenship in the social studies from the 6th curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, from the 6th social studies curriculum to the current 2015 revised curriculum, the contents description about digital citizenship has not been continuing, but the current 2015 revised curriculum is consistently described digital citizenship, has become more abundant. Second, the frequency with which the four categories of digital citizenship appear is 'digital citizenship as media and information literacy> digital citizenship as ethics> digital citizen as participation/engagement'. In the digital era, digital citizenship should be discussed and formulated more actively in the social studies curriculum. Third, by encompassing digital citizenship into the concept of democratic citizenship, which is the ultimate goal of social studies education, It should help students in the digital age to grow as a responsible democratic citizen.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

디지털 사회에 대응하여 사회과 교육에서 디지털 시민성 교육의 실태를 파악하기 위해서는 교육과정 내용을 분석할 필요가 있다. 디지털 시민성 관련 논의를 참고하여 분석의 준거로서 Choi(2016)의 디지털 시민성 4가지 범주를 차용하였다. 제6차 교육과정부터 현행 2015 개정 교육과정의 사회과 교육과정에 나타나는 디지털 시민성 관련 내용을 사회과 성격, 목표 및 성취기준 내용을 시기별, 학교급별로 비교분 석하였다. 분석결과 사회과 교육과정의 제6차부터 현행 2015개정까지 디지털 시민성 에 대한 내용 진술이 계속성을 갖지 못하고 있다가 현행 2015 개정 교육과정부터는 사회과의 성격, 목표, 성취기준에서 일관되게 기술되고 있으며, 내용 진술이 보다 풍부 해지고 있다. 디지털 시민성의 4개 범주가 나타나는 빈도는 ‘매체와 정보 리터러시로 서의 디지털 시민성> 윤리로서의 디지털 시민성> 참여로서의 디지털 시민성’ 순으로 나타났다. 디지털 시대를 맞아 디지털 시민성이 사회과 교육과정 구성에 더욱 활발하 게 논의되고 구체화되어야 한다. 그리고 사회과 교육이 지향하는 민주시민성 개념의 외연을 확장하여 디지털 시민성을 포괄함으로써 디지털 세대인 학생들이 디지털 사회 에 대처하고 책임 있는 민주 시민으로서 성장하는데 도움이 되어야 할 것이다.
