The purpose of this study is to investigate the papers and books about Korean Buddhism which were mainly written by Japanese scholars and monks before 1945.
The study of Korean Buddhism in Japan was begun by monk Enjin Okumura(奧村圓心) in 1882.
During that time(1882~1945), the number of papers and books about Korean Buddhism which were published in Japan amount to 470.
This paper attempts to explore the tendency and nature of the study of Korean Buddhism in Japan, and to make a list of index.
