탐방로에서 경험 가능한 선흘 곶자왈 경관 분석 = Landscape Analysis of Seonhul-Gotjawal(unique forests and bushes formed on lava in Jeju island) that can be experienced along the trail: Focused on Sequence Landscape and Particular Scenic Point

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 선흘 곶자왈을 대상으로 방문자의 시점에서 탐방로를 따라 경험할 수 있는 경관을 연속경관과 포인트경관으로 구분하여 파악함으로써 생태관광지에 대한 방문자 경험 중심의 경관분석 방법을 제시하고 그 유용성과 가능성을 밝히기 위한 것이다. 연구를 위해 전문가 4명이 선흘 곶자왈 탐방로를 중심으로 이동하면서 GPS를 통해 공간정보를 획득하고 현장조사표를 작성하면서 탐방로에서 경험 가능한 경관을 실증적으로 분석하고 지도화하였다. 이를 통해 선흘 곶자왈 탐방로에서의 경관을 연속경관 20개(이중 특징경관 구간–7개, 숲길 구간–5개, 인공길 구간–8개)과 포인트경관 19개로 구분하고 각각의 경관특성을 도출하였다. 이 같은 분석 방법은 방문자의 관점에서 경험 가능한 경관을 실증적으로 파악할 수 있으며 사진과 같은 시각적 장면이나 공간 단위의 경관특성이 아닌 실제 체험하는 연속경관으로 경관 특징을 파악할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구결과는 선흘 곶자왈이 생태관광지로서 활용됨에 있어서 탐방객에게 제공하는 체험 프로그램 계획 수립에 유용할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 실제 방문자들이 어떠한 경관자원을 명료히 인지하고 있는지를 파악하기 위한 ‘방문자경관 평가 도구(Visitor/Residential Landscape Assessment Tool)’를 개발한다면 효과적인 경관자원의 관리계획에도 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide a method of landscape analysis for ecotourism site based on visitor experience and to find out its usefulness and possibility by identifying the landscape of Seonhul-Gotjawal that can be experienced along the trail from the viewpoint of the visitor through the Sequence Landscapes(SL) and Particular Scenic Points(PSP). Four experts analyzed and mapped the landscape shown from the trail by acquiring the spatial information through GPS and preparing the field survey sheet while moving along the trail of Seonhul- Gotjawal. As a result, the landscape at the trail of Seonhul-Gotjawal was divided into 20 SL(7 featured landscape sections, 5 forest track sections, 8 artificial track sections) and 19 PSP. These research methods has an advantage of being able to empirically grasp landscape characteristics with SL that can be experienced from a visitor’s point of view, not as a visual scene such as a photograph or a landscape characteristic of a space unit. This study can be very useful to prepare the tour program to be provided to the visitors in the utilization of Seonhul-Gotjawal as an eco-tourism site. In addition, this research could be applied to making the effective management plan as compared with the Visitor / Residential Landscape Assessment Tool for finding out what landscape resources visitors could perceive actually.
