젠더와 로컬리티 = 젠더 연구가 로컬리티 연구에 제공하는 전망

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 먼저 맑스주의/사회주의 여성주의가 가정과 직장에서 여성 노동의 역할을 주변적인 요소로 평가하는데 주목하고, ‘가정’과 ‘직장’을 로컬 단위로 규정가능성 문제를 제기한다. 이어서 탈근대여성주의 전망이 형이상학적 이분법을 해제하고, 평등이 아닌 차이에 주목한 것과 로컬리티 연구와 연관성을 검토한다. 필자는 탈근대 전망에 내포된 타자성과 소수성, 차이성과 이종성에 주목하지만, 로컬리티 연구에서 중심의 해체가 심화되면 중심과 로컬의 관계 자체도 해체시킬 가능성도 검토하였다. 탈식민여성주의는 선진자본주의가 제3세계의 ‘불평등한 성별, 인종, 여성 성의 축’에서 진행되는 재생산의 기제를 전면 가동시키며 여성노동을 착취하고 이주현상을 강화하여 여성을 재식민화하고 재타자화하는 과정에 주목한다. 이것은 전지구화가 국민국가의 로컬을 끌어내어 신자유주의 경제논리의 질서에 직접 포섭하고 타자화하여, 결국 초국적 자본의 투기장으로 만들어 식민화하는 것과 유사하다. 끝으로 생태여성주의가 인간과 자연의 동시 해방을 모색하는데 공감하고 세계 각지에서 반전, 반핵 및 평화운동에 참여하는 생명과 생태 운동의 투쟁의 주체인데 감명 받는다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this article, I attempt to research and discover interrelations of feminism and locality as a method to accomplish one of our agenda 'locality and humanity' supported by Korean Research Foundation. At first Marxist/Socialist feminism has achieved the most important role in liberation movement of women, especially female labourers traditionally considered as periphery element in workplace. In that argument, my focus is whether we can recognize the home and workplace as a local.
Through the perspective of postmodern feminism, we can dissolve the modernity composed by metaphysical duality. In the result we can understand such a term as otherness, minority, difference, heterogenuity in the relation of gender and locality. But we must remember that if the dissolution is too far, the relation of the center and the local which is realized as difference and hierarchy, would be dissolved and banished.
By postcolonial feminism, in globalization era, gender, race and sexuality are recolonialized by the exploitation of women's labour as a means of irregular and immigration from at the Third World. I think that this is compared to the position of local which has been dragged from the boundaries of nation state to space of neoliberalism that is battlefield of financial capitalism. So we can construct coalitions against this aggressive powerful transnational capital by solidarity of gender and locality in danger at the edge of recolonialization. By this solidarity we can introspect on our fault made of inner-colonial as such patriarchy, provincialism, violence of capitalism and political order within a nation-state.
Finally I sympathize with and agree on Ecofeminism which attempts to achieve the liberation of nature and human by the overall revolution. And deeply impressed by their on going struggle in anti-nuclear, anti-war and peace movement. So Ecofeminism has much material to locality studies, by this reason we also have some limitations to approach this subject matter.
