의인화를 통한 상처의 은유적 표현 연구: 연구자의 작품 중심으로 = A Study on Metaphorical Expression of Wounds through Personification

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현대인들의 생활하면서 받는 정신적인 고통, 즉 내면의 상처로부터 시작이 된다. 상처를 은유적으로 표현하는 방법을 고찰하고, 동물에 인격을 부여하는 의인화 기법을 통해 조형적 표현을 연구한다. 의인화를 통해 현대인 또는 본인을 작품에 투영하여 표현하고, ‘꽃’이라는 오브제를 통해서 인간의 내면 상처를 재해석하여 조형물로써 시각화 한 것이다.

현대인들이 살아가는 삶은 경쟁, 인간관계 등의 다양한 사회문제들이 존재한다. 우리는 유년시절부터 죽는 순간까지 끊임없이 경쟁한다. 그리고 인간관계를 통해서 인간의 양면성을 겪게 되고 그로 비롯된 내면의 상처가 점차 쌓여간다. 이와 같은 내면의 상처들로 인하여 사람들은 점점 외부로 나오는 것을 기피하게 되고 스스로 본인의 감정을 감추고 살아가며 자아를 잃어가고 있다. 이러한 사실은 대부분의 인간들은 사회적 문제들로 인한 내면의 상처를 가지고 삶을 살아가고 있다는 것을 의미한다.


연구자의 작품은 상처를 은유적으로 표현하기 위한 고찰로부터 시작된다. 현대 예술에서 활용되고 있는 다양한 의인화 기법을 통해 표현의 다양성을 파악하고, 사람과 행동과 표현방법이 유사한 동물을 소재로 활용하면 의미 전달에 있어 용이한 것을 알 수 있다.
내면의 상처를 은유적으로 표현하기 위해, 상처 표현방식을 고찰하고 타 작가의 표현방법을 연구 및 참고하여 표현의 다양성과 소재의 중요성을 파악하였다. 이후 ‘꽃’이라는 오브제를 활용하여 시각화를 시도하였으며 내면의 상처와 상반되는 이미지를 가진 “꽃”을 사용하여 의미와 표현력을 더욱 극대화시켰다.

본 연구는 의인화를 통해, 사회적 문제들로 인하여 생긴 내면의 상처들을 은유적으로 표현한 연구이다.
연구자의 작품 중심에는 “꽃”이라는 상처를 상징하는 오브제가 존재한다. 꽃을 통하여 내면의 상처를 치유와 완화와 함께 어떻게 바라보고, 상처가 내면에 어떻게 존재 하는지에 대해 작품을 통해 나타내고자 했다.
이를 바탕으로 본인을 작품 속에 투영하면서, 현대인들이 내면의 상처에 대한 치유와 함께 자신의 상처를 인지하고 타인의 상처에 관심을 가지길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study begins with inner wounds like the mental pain that modern people suffer in their lives. The method of expressing wounds metaphorically is considered, and the formative expression is studied through the personification technique that give human character to the animal .
Through personification, modern people include me are portrayed in their works. with the object 'Flower', the human internal wound is reinterpreted and visualized as a sculpture.

There are various social problems such as competition and relationships in the lives of modern people. We constantly compete from childhood to the moment we die. And in human relationships, people experience two sides of human beings, and the internal wounds that result from them gradually accumulate. From these internal injuries, people are increasingly avoiding coming outside and losing their self by hiding their feelings. This means that most humans live with inner wound from social problems.

The researcher's work begins with the idea of expressing wounds metaphorically. Diversity of expression is identified through various personification techniques used in modern art, using animals with similar behaviors and expressions as materials shows that it is easy to convey meaning.
To metaphorically express the inner wound, I considered the way of expressing wounds and studied other artists' expressions to understand the diversity of expressions and the importance of material. Then, I attempted to visualize with object "Flower" and maximized meaning and expressiveness by using "Flower" with an image that contradicts the inner wound.

This study projects modern people in personified works and metaphorically expresses the inner wounds caused by social problems.
At the middle of the work, there is an object called "Flower" that symbolizes wounds. Through the flowers, I wanted to show how to look at inner wounds with healing and relaxation, and how they exist inside.
As projecting yourself into the work, I hope that modern people recognize their own wounds and pay attention to others' wounds as well as healing their inner wounds.
