Purpose This research explores how quality management practices in health functional food companies influence business performance, while also examining the role of organizational learning as a mediator.
Methods Data collected from a survey were analyzed using SPSS Statistics version 23.0, employing frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and three-step mediation effect analysis.
Results The analysis confirms a direct correlation between quality management activities, organizational learning, and business performance in health functional food companies. Specifically, sub-factors such as support, performance evaluation, and improvement within the quality management system were found to have both direct and mediated effects on enhancing business performance through organizational learning.
Conclusion Active implementation of quality management practices and fostering organizational learning are crucial for enhancing business performance in health functional food companies. The companies should pay more attention and make effort to enhance support, improvement and performance evaluation, which are sub-factors of the quality management system.
