충무공 이순신의 군인정신에 대한 연구 = A Study on Chungmugong Yi Sun-sin's Military Spirit

The purpose of this study is, first, to look at what kind of military spirit Yi Sun-shin had and why he fought against Japanese army, second, to analyze what kind of military spirit was most expressed and whether there was a spirit to be added separately, and third, what he displayed It is toultimately improve the combat power of the military by presenting the things that military officers need to practice in order to have the spirit of a soldier today.The research method refers to literature such as the Nanjung Ilgi, and the ten elements of military spirit, such as organizational values of military spirit, morale, unity, education and training, and individual values such as honor, loyalty, courage, conviction of sure victory, non-retirement in battle,and patriotism. We analyzed how well it worked. As a result, in organizational values, military discipline and education and training were prominent, and in individual values, honor, loyalty, courage, and patriotism were prominently displayed, and it was found that filial piety served as the source of such spirits. Therefore, in order for officers to have this military spirit of Yi Sun-sin, first of all, clear and fair punishment and initiative are needed for military discipline, education and training are conducted practically focusing on team or comprehensive training, honor is just, and they must have a sense of duty in their work. Loyalty must maintain the spirit of precedent and successor. Courage should be cultivated through challenging spirit and self-denial training, and patriotism should actively help the people in difficulties through the public-private-military consultative body. Hyo should make frequent phone calls to his parents,reward exemplary soldiers and conduct periodic training.Recently, North Korea is upgrading its nuclear weapons and missiles and strengthening its ideological armament. Against this, South Korea will not only expand its response capabilities and build an advanced science and technology military force, but also strengthen its soldiers' mental armament by taking the example of Yi Sun-sin's military spirit as an example to fight and win the enemy. We need to raise an army Military spirit, discipline, education and training, honor, loyalty, courage, patriotism, filial piety.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 충무공 이순신이 어떠한 군인정신을 가지고 왜군과의 전투에 임했는지를 살펴보고, 둘째, 그러한 군인정신 가운데 가장 많이 발현되고 있는 것은 무엇이고 별도로 추가할 정신이 있는지 분석해보며, 셋째, 그가 발휘한 군인정신을 오늘날 군 간부들이 갖추기 위하여 실천해야 할 사항들을 제시하여 궁극적으로 군의 전투력을 향상 하는데 있다. 연구방법은 ‘친필본 일기’와 ‘이충무공전서’ 그리고 ‘이충무공행록’ 등의 문헌을 참고하여, 군인정신의 조직 가치인 군기, 사기, 단결, 교육훈련과 개인 가치인 명예, 충성심, 용기, 필승의 신념, 임전무퇴, 애국애민 등의 10대 요소가 얼마나 발휘 되었는지를 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 조직가치 에서는 군기와 교육훈련이 개 인가치에서는 명예, 충성심, 용기, 애국애민 정신이 두드러지게 나타났고, 효가 그러한 정신들을 발휘하는 근원으로 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 이러한 이순신의 군인정신을 간부들이 갖기 위해 먼저 군기를 위해서는 명확하고 공정한 처벌과 솔선수범이 필요하고, 교육훈련은 팀이나 종합훈련 위주로 실전적으로 실시하며, 명예는 정의롭고 자기 일에 사명감을 가져야 하며, 충성은 선공후사의 정신을 견지해야 한다. 용기는 도전정신과 극기훈련을 통해 배양하고, 애국애민은 민관군 협의체를 통해 국민의 어려움을 적극적으로 도와주어야 한다. 효는 부모에게 안부 전화를 자주 드리고, 모범장병은 포상하며 주기적인 교육을 병행해야 한다. 최근 북한은 핵과 미사일을 고도화하고 사상무장을 강화하고 있는데 이에 맞서 우리도 대응 역량을 확충하고, 첨단과학 기술군을 건설할 뿐만 아니라 이순신의 군인정신을 본보기로 삼아 장병들의 정신무장을 강화하여 반드시 적과 싸워 이기는 군대를 육성해야 하겠다.
