2000년대 이후 남성 패션에 나타난 불안 = Anxiety in Men's Fashion after 2000

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to examine the formative characteristics and internal values of anxiety as expressed in men's fashion since the year 2000. Fashion designers have accepted the domain of 'anxiety' as a source of creative inspiration. They have manifested it in their fashion designs, sharing anxiety's significance and internal values with the appreciator by indirectly displaying it. Anxiety was portrayed in men's fashion after 2000 by means of the following classifications ‘image of darkness’, ‘distorted image’, ‘feminine image’, ‘image of protection’, and ‘artistic image’. The images of anxiety demonstrated in 21st-century men's fashion possess the internal values of ‘subjectivity’, ‘otherness’, ‘de-boundary’, and ‘sublimation’. Embodying anxiety through men's fashion has helped designers and the public alleviate anxiety and understand its true meaning. Furthermore, it has allowed them to reconsider the meaning of human existence that exists by anxiety and restore the self to an authentic state. By offering an array of possibilities, 21st-century men's fashion has not only expanded the scope of fashion but is also advancing ‘fashion for humans’ in a broader sense while performing a psychological role.
