The purpose of this study was to explore and analyze how job stress incurred by continuous and repetitive shift work affects their health and organizational commitment for social workers. As a result of the analysis, it was found that work shift stress does not directly affect organizational commitment, but affects organizational commitment mediated by psychological depression. And in this process, organizational-based self-esteem was found to have the effect of partially alleviating psychological depression by moderating work shift stress. The results of this analysis raise the need for in-depth analysis of the causality between shift stress and psychological depression at the practical level, while raising the need to establish practical systems and programs to enhance social workers' organization-based self-esteem.
