Rehabilitation activities are important for stroke patients, so studies on various exercises and treatments are being conducted. However, although there should be differences in the types of exercise programs and intervention methods by time of onset of stroke patients, it is true that studies on them are lacking. The purpose of this study is to explore the intervention and evaluation methods of rehabilitation exercise programs, and the rehabilitation effects according to exercise types. This study is a domestic academic journal published from January 2018 to June 2022 based on specific and objective selection criteria to meet the guidelines and checklist of AMSTAR (Assessment of Multiple Systematic Review) for systematic literature research. were searched for 'stroke' AND 'exercise' in Research Information Service (RISS), Korea Academic Information System (KISS), DBPIA, and Google Scholar to collect literature. Papers to be reviewed were selected based on PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis). According to the selection criteria, 14 materials were finally selected. As a result of the analysis, in the acute and subacute phases within 6 months after stroke onset, muscle strength and balance, in the chronic phase of more than 6 months, a rehabilitation exercise program was conducted for the purpose of strengthening muscle strength, walking ability, balance ability, physical ability, and preventing complications, and it was found to have a significant effect. Based on these results, this study will be helpful in designing an exercise rehabilitation intervention program according to the onset period of stroke patients and applying it in the field.
