중국의 산학협력 과학기술 연구 분석 SCI 학술지 게재 논문을 대상으로 = Scientific Research Collaboration between University and Industrial Firm in China : An Analysis of the Co-authored Articles Published in SCI Journals

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzes China’s university-firm research collaboration in terms of the distribution across various scientific research fields (macro level analysis), the structure of intra- and inter-national networks (meso level analysis), and the characteristics of key participants from both academic and business sides (miro level analysis). For this, I collected relevant data from the Web of Science DB which contains bibliographic information about research papers published in SCI-indexed journals, and conducted quantitative analyses. Moreover, in order to gain more concrete understandings of the cognition and behavior of the Chinese universities and industrial firms participating in university-firm collaborative research, I conducted a series of interviews with key scientists in selected few institutions in China. The research results show that China is distinct from the global average in terms of the main fields where university-firm research collaboration occur, which indicates the Chinese uniqueness.
However, the difference has gradually diminished as time goes by. I also found that the Chinese research universities lead the international research collaboration while the special purpose universities play an important role in research collaboration with domestic firms. The Chinese firms that participate in research collaboration with academia seem to have not only increased in number but also expanded in scope including private firms in medium- and low-tech industrial sectors.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국제적인 과학기술 학술지에 발표된 중국의 산학협력 논문을 분석해중국 산학협력의 학문영역별 분포(거시적 측면)와 국내 및 국제 협력의 구조(중시적 측면), 그리고 중국 산학협력 주요 참여주체의 특성과 행위패턴(미시적 측면)을분석하였다. 공식 통계자료의 부족 속에서 본 연구는 Web of Science DB로부터직접 자료를 추출하여 수리분석을 수행하고, 주요 산학협력 참여주체에 대한 현지조사를 통해 다음과 같은 사실들을 확인하였다. 중국은 자국의 필요에 따라 남다른영역에서 산학협력 연구를 수행하고 있지만, 그러한 중국의 독특성은 ‘고립’으로귀결되지 않고, 외부로 열린 중국의 국제 산학협력 네트워크를 통해 완화되고 있다. 그리고 시간의 흐름 속에서 중국과 세계 일반의 산학협력 연구는 그 내용면에서 수렴하고 있다. 중국 내륙의 유수 연구중심 대학들은 (과거 홍콩 대학들의 역할을 부분적으로 대신하며) 국제적인 산학협력 연구를 주도하기 시작하였으며, 긴밀한 산학연계의 역사적 유산을 갖고 있는 전업성 대학 등이 국내적인 산학협력 연구를 지속하는 한편 그 학문적 수준을 향상시키고 연계대상의 범주도 확대해가고있다. 한편 중국의 대형 국유기업 뿐 아니라 고기술 및 중저위기술 산업영역의 민영기업들도 산학협력을 전략적으로 수행해가고 있다.
