The specific objective of this research are:
1. To analyze the effect of a 12weeks' walking exercise program on weight and body fat.
2. To analyze the effect of a 12weeks' walking exercise program on serum lipids.
3. To compare the difference between a walking exercise group and a controlled group.
The subjects of this research were selected 19students who had more than 30% of body fat by Impedence Measure and desired to join this walking exercise program among 96students who were determined as an obesity in a physical examination. Then they were randomly assigned to a walking exercise group of nine members and a controlled group of ten. The walking exercise group walked 35 minutes a day to the speed of 144 beat music. It lasted five times a week for 12 weeks.
From the result of the research , the following conclusion was made:
1. The weight of the walking exercise group decreased significantly, compared to the controlled group.
2. The body fat percentage of the walking exercise group decreased significantly, compared to the controlled group.
3. T-C of the walking exercise group showed lower than that of the controlled group.
4. HDL-C of the walking exercise group didn't increased significantly, but increased 3.17㎎/dl on the average.
5. LDL-C of the walking exercise group showed lower than that of the controlled group.
6. TG of the walking exercise group didn't decreased significantly, but decreased 31.55㎎/dl on the average.
