Purpose To foster convergence talents required by the future society, universities are increasingly enhancing competency-based education through not only major and general education curricula but also extracurricular curriculum. This study aims to explore strategies for the systematic operation and quality management of extracurricular curriculum education by analyzing the case of the “Student Competency Integration Management System” implemented at D University.
Design/methodology/approach First, it examines the system’s operational structure and data management processes. Second, it analyzes the current status and outcomes of extracurricular curriculum operation based on the system.
Findings Through these findings, this study proposes strategic directions for integrated management and quality enhancement of extracurricular curriculum education, and offers theoretical and practical implications for providing personalized co-curricular programs and strengthening the university's educational competitiveness.
