The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of infant teachers’ happiness and professional development level on teacher-infant interaction. This study implemented a survey with 339 teachers, who understood the purpose of the study and were currently working as daycare center teachers in charge of infants aged 0-2 in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. The summary of this study is as follows. First, in examining infant teachers’ happiness and teacher-infant interaction, a positive relationship between infant teachers’ happiness and professionalism was observed. A high correlation existed between the happiness of infant teachers and high level of professional development. Second, the higher level of infant teachers’ happiness and level of professional development, effect on teacher-infant interaction. The independent factors such as knowledge, professional development, ecological development, inner happiness, and self-understanding development, affected self-leadership on teacher-infant interaction.
