      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      This paper first designs an In-Wheel type motor for electric vehicle then analyzes the current waveform according to current phase angle. In the design process, first initial design was conducted using space harmonic analysis. Second, the parameters of the designed model was calculated using finite element analysis (FEA). Third, the calculated parameters are used as design factors for EL-map. Then the specifications of detail model is defined by analyzing EL-map. Finally, optimal design was performed using Response Surface Method (RSM). In the analysis process, FEA was performed for the optimal model. Current waveform according to current phase angles were analyzed. Distortions in the waveform were found and the cause was defined.
