The Industry-academic cooperation targeting small and medium-sized enterprises is creating high results in Korea. However, the external evaluation results of the WEF, EU, and OECD on domestic industry-academic cooperation are very insufficient. In addition, as a result of predicting the future size of cooperation supporters at universities and research institutes, it was confirmed that they were on the verge of extinction in 2028. In this study, a solution to this problem was considered by fostering industry-academic cooperation coordinators.
To this end, a hypothesis was established that the employment stability and expertise of cooperation coordinators who received education and training were excellent. And we demonstrated this using statistical comparisons and analyses. Finally, in order to stably distribute and spread cooperation supporters, we proposed an efficient plan to train cooperation coordinators for employees of small and medium-sized companies.
