Quarternary polymers (EVAG's) were synthesized from 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, vinyl acetate, acrylic acid, and glycidyl methacrylate to prepare emulsion type acrylic pressuresensitive adhesives (PSA's). The EVAG solutions were coated directly onto polyester film for subsequent tape evaluation. EVAG-3 and EVAG-5 showed peel adhesion of 220∼310 g/inch, shear adhesion of longer than 24 hrs, tackiness of 4/32-5/32, and heat resistance of 87-88℃. It has been shown that the acrylic PSA's developed in this study can be used as a removable PSA's.
