(Multilingual Abstract)

Moral identity refers to the degree to which being a moral person is important in an individual's identity. Moral identity motivates individuals to explore moral dilemmas, maintain consistency between their moral beliefs and moral behavior, and pursue purpose in life and integrity in their lives. Academic interest in applying moral identity to moral education in schools is still very minimal. Exceptionally, Daniel Hart presents an ecological model that considers many factors that affect the formation and development of moral identity, while at the same time proposing specific applicable examples of moral education based on his model. In this article, I focused on looking at an overview of Hart's ecological model, the empirical evidences of the model, and how to apply it to moral education.
