      This thesis is on life, thoughs and movement of Do-san, Ann Chang-ho as a patriotic statesman and a true educator who was born at Do-rong Island located in the upper waters Dae-dong River.
      His father was a farmer and teacher of Gul-bang and Do-San learned Chinese in his childhood. In 1897 he graduated from Kuseharkdang and became an assistant of this school. Soon he became a member of the Independent Club. In 1899 he established the Jum Jin School located at his hometwon, Kangsu.
      In 1980, he went to the United States to study educational science. He founded the Konglip Club in order to prptect rights, interests and to improve life. In 1907 he was back to his fatherland and delivered many speeches about the emergency of his fatherland and disillusion of people. He organized Sin Min Hoe which was a secret society, and the Young Students Association.
      He founded Dae Sung School to train a competent person in Pyungyang. In 1912, he established Federation of the Koreans who were all foreign compatriots in the United States. In 1913, he founded the Young Korean Academy which was succeeded to the Young Students Association in Sanfrancisco in America. Do-san participated in the Korean Independence movement as an Action prime Minister and the Chong pan Home affairs, the Chong pan of Labor in the Korean provisional Goverment.
      Owing to Hong Gu Park Bombing attempt by Yoon Bong-gil, Matyr, the Japanese authorities were searching for Korean. He was arrested by them at that time and was imprisoned in 1932. He was relessed after serving a sentence of four year's confinement, and dwelt in retirement at Songte san Jang. He was imprisoned again because of the Dong Woo Club. He died on March 10, 1938 at the attached hospital of Kyang Sung National University. Do-San's thoughts are nationalism constructed with the thoughs of power and the thoughs of racial conversion and educational thoughs that his education idelogys are to do one's best for truth, do one's best for doing, faithfulness, courageousness and wisdom. His educational models of human beings are contructed with truth, love, courageousness and wisdom. His educational activities of patriotic illumination were to participate in SinMin Club, the Young students Association and Young Korea Academy.
      The thoughts of Ann Chang-ho consists of nationalism and Educational thoughts. His nationalism consists of the thoughs of power and the thoughs of National Reconstruction, too. What's the power in his thoughs of power? First, knowledge and technique are power. They are power to dominate one's environment and nature. And there is a mathematical function between power and them. Much knowjedge and technique are much power, on the contrary a little knowledge and technique are powerless.
      Second, morals is power. Businessmen should be credible from thier country and foreign countries during the economic activities. As the credible nations will be prosper and have the honor, morals is power.
      Third, money is power. Because money is produced by knowledge, techique and morals, money is power.
      Fourth, truth and love are power. people needs solidarity in order to get a lot of power, as people do truth and love solidarity, too.
      The thoughs of national Reconstruction is as follows. A whole is the total amount of parts, so every member of nation should be reconstructed. Ann Chang-ho said, "I will reconstruct myself, do yourself". That is the way that will reconstruct the whole nations.
      He adhered to the theory of social Darwinism and the strnuous efforted nationalism, influenced by Ling Chi-chao who was a scholar in the Ching dynasty. The educational thoughs consists of substanlity, excution, loyalty and bravery. Ann Chang-ho convinced that strength of our nation and consequently its independence and prosperity can be achieved when any kind of mental defect or disease can be replaced by them. He established the Jum Jin School, the Dae Sung High School, and Dong Myung School as the educational activites. Ann Chang-ho was a true educator, a thinker and a statesman who devoted his whole life to the national independence.
