Objectives The purpose of this study is to develop and validate course evaluation items.
Methods A preliminary items were developed through literature review, member perception survey, and focus group interview. A pilot test was conducted thereafter. Confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were performed using data collected from 243 participants. Additionally, correlations between students' self-assess ment and course evaluation responses were analyzed.
Results Confirmatory factor analysis indicated overall good model fit and factor loadings (standardized coefficients above .842), and reliability was also satisfactory (internal consistency coefficient above .702). Additional analysis revealed statistically significant correlations between students' self-assessment and course evaluation re sponses (correlation above .395).
Conclusions This study is significant in that it incorporated the opinions of both professors and learners during the item development phase, and the number of items was reduced while ensuring they were objective and compre hensive in content.
