Analyzing The Effect Of Firm Specific On-The-Job Training On Labor Income Using Hierarchical Linear Models(HLM) - Centered On The Manufacturing Industries -

The study aims to make a comparison between an analysis of a wage worker who underwent firm specific on-the-job training and one who underwent general on-the-job training, which are types of firm on-the-job training in the form of human resource development.
The object of this study is 301 manufacturing industries and 9,390 wage workers who are some of the samples from the Human Capital Corporate Panel(HCCP) in 2005, providing the proper information necessary for this study to be carried out. The hierarchical linear model (HLM) was applied to analyze the structure of the multilevel data.
The results of this study show that the wage of a wage worker who underwent firm specific on-the-job training is slightly higher than the wage of the one who underwent general on-the-job training. Based on the results of this study, a proposal for a following study is discussed, as is the theoretical conclusion and the validity of the actual firm on-the-job training.
