근대 초 동아시아 삼국 언론매체에 나타난 조선인 관련 담론 비교 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

본 연구는 근대 초 동양 삼국의 주요 언론매체에서 다루고 있는 조선민족성 담론을 분석하고, 삼국의 인식을 비교하여 근대적 한국민족성과 미의식의 기원을 규명하는 데 궁극적인 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 1차년도에는 근대 초 동아시아 삼국에서의 한국인(조선인) 인식의 실제를, 2차년도에는 근대 초 동아시아 삼국에서의 한국인(조선인) 관련 담론 국가간 비교를 통하여 삼국의 상호인식의 거울효과에 대해 고찰하였다. 2년간 총 10편의 논문을 등재지에 게재하였으며, 근대 한국인의 민족성담론이 어떻게 형성되어 유통되었는지 확인할 수 있는 자료집인 -근대 한국인의 탄생 : 근대 한,중,일 조선민족성 담론의 실제를 간행하였다. 아울러 근대 한국인론이 어떻게 생산되고 유통되었는지 확인할 수 있는 단행본 -동아시아 근대 한국인론(소명출판, 2012.3)을 출간할 예정이다. 연구가 진행된 2년 동안 워크숍과 국제 및 국내학술대회 개최, 국제학술대회 발표, 등재지 논문 게재를 통해 개별 조선민족성 논자의 논리 분석 및 논자간 비교, 삼국의 대표적 논자간 비교 등을 진행한 바, 그 결과로 근대에 접어들면서 한중일 삼국에서 새롭게 인식한 근대 한국인론의 전모와 그 의미를 학문적으로 규명하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was designed to analyse the discourse on Chosŏn national character reflected in the journals of Korea, Japan and China in the early Modern. Also, through comparing the perceptions of the Chosŏn national character from three countries, we ultimately aimed at investigating the Chosŏn national character and aesthetic consciousness.
The research methods are following:
Frist, this study focused on the period of the enlightenment to 1920s that has been excluded from academic interest. Second, it viewed Chosŏn national character intensively from international comparative study. Third, eschewing from the viewpoint of a nation, we defined the reality of culture exchange, hybridism and appropriation. Finally, we studied how the modern Chosŏn national characters were discoursed.
For this, we studied " the reality of the perceptions on Korean from East Asia in the early Modern" on the 1st year. On the 2nd year, we did comparative studies of East Asian perceptions of Korean(Chosŏn) in the early Modern. Each researcher wrote more than two papers and we published the source book on the modern Chosŏn national character discourse titled "The Birth of the modern Korean - Reality of Chosŏn national character discourse from Early Aisan.( Somyoung.2011.5) We're also planning to publish a book, " East Asian perceptions of Korean(Chosŏn) in the early Modern'(Somyoung,2012.3) showing how the modern Korean discourse was formed and distributed.
