국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 1971년부터 2021년까지의 시계열 자료를 활용하여 주요 탄소배출 주요 5개 선진국의 탄소배출량, 수출, 수입, GDP, 산업비중 간의 동태적 상호 영향을 분석하였다. 그랜저 인과성(Granger causality) 검정 결과, 탄소배출량은 산업 비중과 유의한 인과관계를 보였으나, GDP, 수출, 수입과는 직접적인 인과관계가 확인되지 않았다. 특히, 탄소배출량과 GDP는 경제 성장 초기에는 밀접한 연관성을 보였으나, 시간이 지남에 따라 연관성이 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 ESG 수출 규제에 대응하기 위해 친환경 기술 도입, 무역정책 개선, 외부 자원의 효율적 활용이 필요함을 시사한다. 향후 연구에서는 ESG 수출규제 시행 이후 다양한 국가의 탄소배출, 수출입, GDP 등 주요 경제 변수들 간의 상호연관성을 심층적으로 분석할 필요가 있다.

This study analyzes the dynamic interrelationships between carbon emissions, exports, imports, GDP, and industrial structure in five major developed countries using time series data from 1971 to 2021. The Granger causality test results indicate that carbon emissions have a significant causal relationship with industrial structure, but no direct causality was found between carbon emissions and GDP, exports, or imports. To be specific, carbon emissions and GDP indicated a strong correlation during the early stages of economic growth, but this correlation gradually decreased over time. These findings suggest the need for the adoption of green technologies, improvements in trade policies, and more efficient use of external resources to respond to ESG export regulations. Future research should analyze the interrelationships between key economic variables, such as carbon emissions, trade, and GDP, in various countries following the implementation of ESG export regulations.
