When raising a pet, what we must know their time is much shorter than. Combining with emotional issues of the loss of a beloved pet, the death of pet entails burial of the body and other funeral issues which led to creation of ‘Pet Memorial Service.’
It could say that the pet memorial services represent changed aspects and culture of modem society. That is the reasons we refrain from viewing the pet memorial services from the business perspective focusing on generating only profits. We might recognized the services as a special business dealing with emotional connection between pet owners and their pets while the pet memorial services need to be regulated by laws. Technically the pet memorial service is a business； providers one end and consumers pet owners on the other end exist In addition, handling bodies of pet has risk of causing environmental pollution. Considering all issues surrounding pet memorial services, it is multi-faceted one and required regulations and laws to control. However, what we should take into account is that pet memorial services are a comprehensive business field, having characteristics of social ethnics basis of life respect and at the same time dealigh with environmental issues besides possible conflict caused by the people’s not in backyard sentiment.
It is needless to say that we should respect life of pet and treat them with love, which is good for people's emotional soundness and stability. However, if pet owners with enough financial ability spend much money for their pets during their lifetime or even after their death, while a number of people in poverty goes through financially hard times or are not treated much less than those pets, it could make people antagonize against those pet owners. Funeral services for pets have raised as a new business field and are between those two opposite ends. That is, pet funeral services could treat feeling of loss and grief of people followed by pet loss by paying respect to pets who spent lifetime with their owners. At the same time, it could strike a balance between funeral services for people and those for pets.
Funeral services for pet should be dealt with seriously through in depth discussion on related issues and pay attention to opinions of people from all walks of life rather than only argue to ease regulations on pet funeral services and activate it
