      정치적 실천의 의미로 본 신독: 대학장구(大學章句) 전6장을 중심으로 = Shendu in the Approaching of Political Practice

      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The purpose of this paper is to examine a shendu愼獨 in Daxue大學 from a pragmatic perspective rather than an idealistic perspective. shendu愼獨 has been identified as an important concept in Confucianism, and since ZhengXuan, it has been explained as a foster concept mainly focused on internal reflection. However, Kong Yingda tried to interpret shendu愼獨 in Daxue大學 from a Political Practice point of view. However, his attempt had a limitation in that he lost its consistency by following some of the ideas of ZhengXuan. Therefore, considering the scalability of various meanings of the shen愼 and du獨, if shen愼 and du獨 are considered from a Political Practice point of view, the possibility of other meanings of the shendu愼獨 can be examined. From a pragmatic point of view, shendu愼獨 can be expanded to mean that leaders who want to achieve the good of the community are not patiently enduring and overcoming the good of the community, but actively participate in the community and reveal what the community wants to be and become non-hypocritical leaders. This practical interpretation of shendu愼獨 is expected to provide a new perspective in presenting solutions to various social problems caused by the increase in single-person households in the modern era.
