Customer satisfaction is an important part of consumer behavior research, and ensuring customer satisfaction is the core task of an enterprise. In the era of experience economy (Experience Economy) and aesthetic economy (Aesthetic Economy), consumers' demand for experience is increasing day by day, and consumers' feelings and evaluations of product use experience gradually play a decisive role in their satisfaction. When there is no difference in performance or quality of a product or service, the sensory and inner-emotional experience becomes a key selling point. Both Desmet et al. and Donald A. Norman pointed out that consumers' emotional response to products not only plays a decisive role in consumers' purchasing behavior, but also the emotional experience is an important evaluation criterion for measuring satisfaction. This research investigates and analyzes the satisfaction of Chinese elderly toy consumers from the perspective of Kansei Engineering. The results of the study hope to provide theoretical and practical foundations for future research by relevant scholars.
Through the theoretical research and investigation on Kansei Engineering, toys for the elderly and satisfaction, this research selects the Chinese elderly toy market as the research scope, and selects and analyzes 4 elderly toy cases suitable for the purpose of this research. In addition, questions were raised, questionnaires were designed, and a satisfaction survey was conducted on 4 elderly toy cases. Finally, the data is empirically studied using methods such as multiple linear regression equations, and the degree of influence of Chinese senior toy design factors (shape, color, touch, ease of use, and fun) on consumer satisfaction is analyzed and verified in detail. And according to the enlightenment of the empirical analysis results, it proposes corresponding design strategies for the optimal design of toys for the elderly in the future, to create toy products that are more in line with the emotional needs of the elderly, and to improve consumer satisfaction.
Based on the research results, I have come to the following meaningful conclusions.
Ease of use has the greatest positive impact on satisfaction, with better satisfaction, which belongs to the "highly important, high satisfaction" influencing factor. This shows that for the special psychology and physiology of elderly users, excellent usability design can reduce the psychological burden of elderly users, while taking care of the self-esteem of elderly users, bringing them a good emotional experience, and the most effective improvement satisfaction with toys.
The shape has the smallest positive impact on satisfaction, but the satisfaction is higher, which belongs to the "low importance, high satisfaction" impact factor. This shows that due to age and psychological factors, the consumption concept of elderly users is more mature and pragmatic, so for them, the actual value of toy products is more important than the appearance of the product, but the shape has a positive effect on the satisfaction of elderly toys. It is still one of the important factors to improve the satisfaction of elderly toys.
The effect of color on the satisfaction of elderly toys is second only to ease of use, and the satisfaction is better, which belongs to the "highly important, high satisfaction" influencing factor. When people come into contact with a product, color is the most easily remembered information, and has a very important impact on the user's psychological experience. The same is true for the design of elderly toys. Color is still the most intuitive and eye-catching element. The degree of user satisfaction is relatively large, and it is the core element of the design of toys for the elderly. At the same time, among the three influencing factors in the dimension of color, the most important reuse is color contrast, followed by color recognition, and finally natural color. Reasonable and effective color contrast can bring happiness and excitement to the elderly, and the identification of colors can effectively reduce the mistakes of the elderly in the process of operating toys, and avoid the frustration of the elderly, and the natural color will bring the elderly. Calm and peaceful feeling. These influencing factors will satisfy the sensory needs of elderly consumers from different aspects, thereby improving the satisfaction of elderly consumers.
The tactile feeling has little effect on the satisfaction of elderly toys, but the satisfaction is good, which belongs to the "low importance, high satisfaction" influencing factor. This shows that due to the physiological characteristics of elderly users, the tactile sensation will be degraded with the influence of age, and the perception ability of materials and textures will become dull, reducing the sensitivity of touch, thus affecting the tactile perception of elderly toys. degree of satisfaction.
Interest has a high degree of influence on the satisfaction of elderly toys, and user satisfaction reaches the level of "general satisfaction", which belongs to the "highly important, low satisfaction" influencing factor. The basic function of elderly toys is that when the elderly use them, they will have a happy taste, and fun is also the most basic requirement of elderly toys, so elderly users have higher expectations for fun.
Taking the research results into consideration, we found that elderly toys affect the satisfaction of elderly consumers through a variety of perceptual design factors. Therefore, in the process of designing and making toys for the elderly, it is necessary to fully consider the emotional needs of elderly consumers, to create toy products that are more in line with the emotional needs of the elderly, and to improve consumer satisfaction. This study enriches the theoretical results on customer satisfaction of elderly toys, and helps companies and practitioners to better understand the behavior of elderly consumers. At the same time, the research explores the comparison of the influence degree of emotional experience of elderly toy design factors on consumer satisfaction based on Kansei Engineering, and uses sensory media to establish a positive emotional connection between consumers and toy products, which enriches the design of elderly toys theory. It has certain guiding significance for enterprises how to reasonably allocate effective resources among product attributes, improve product design and R&D, and formulate marketing strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
