With Sadaebu(the gentry class) as its main theme, Kisaeng's poetry recited about emotions of blighted love, such as ranging from separation, mutual love, loneliness, love and yearning, and bewailing their lots. therefore, it can be said that Sadaebu's literature is about affection and the Kisaeng's literature is that about separation.
The dichotomy between the two is made from the beginning of composing a poem because of the different way of their thinking. Kisaeng's literature is also confined to Chinese poetry and Shijo and
the reason is interpreted that the literature is expressed in an emotionally abbreviation way after a short meeting with them(Sataebu) in a banquet.
That is, the abbreviated emotion that Kisaeng who are treated just as a natural object feel after a short meeting with dynamic Sataebu is expressed in the form of literature, poem and prose. Kisaeng welcome their the sentry class as their customers with pleasure and recite Shijo while singing, the mode of their life is naturally full of rhythms. That is why their many works(Shijo) that they made are remained in the genre which was Sataebu's exclusive possession. This proves that Kisaeng entertained Sataebu in the matrimonial relations in Sataebu's families, Sataebu seek for the affection through Kisaeng, which can be found in their marriage life. Therefore, it may be said that the humanism came from such a situation settled down into woman's literature, a branch of the national folk literature, while having an impact on each parties.
